Saved Dr. David Anders' Marriage
NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE — EWTN Publishing Inc. released this month The Catholic Church Saved My Marriage: Discovering Hidden Grace in the Sacrament of Matrimony by Dr. David Anders. 
As one might expect from its title, The Catholic Church Saved My Marriage is a remarkably forthright book. It begins with the author's admittance that by the early 2000s, his marriage was so painful he actually longed for death. He shares that he and his wife held only one thing in common: contempt for one another.
His new book chronicles how they made the journey from contempt to compatibility through learning about, and fully embracing, the Church's teaching on marriage. The account is a strong defense of the Church's most controversial teachings, including divorce, remarriage, gay marriage, and contraception.
Dr. Anders is an educator and radio host based in Birmingham, Alabama. He hosts the popular Called to Communion program on the EWTN Global Catholic Network and serves as the Director of Education and Lifelong Learning for the Diocese of Birmingham.
In a society that continuously degrades the value of authentic marriage, Dr. Anders' book is a welcome testimony to the beauty and truth of this holy sacrament.
